Fylde Hawks are on the road once again in the Cotton Traders Premier Division. In this crazy sequence of fixture arrangement, this will be the Hawks’ fifth away game in six league and cup fixtures to date this season. They travel to Caldy 2nds today with an early kick-off (13.00) ahead of the Caldy v Ampthill National One game at 15.00.

The Hawks have had a strong start to the season despite playing so many games away from the Woodlands. They sit in 2nd place in the division, with four wins and one defeat. They face a very tough task against a Caldy team that are unbeaten in their four games to date.

They take a strong squad to the Wirral:

15 Daniel Jones; 14 Joe Probert, 13 Ralph Dowds, 12 Brett Whitehead, 11 Jake Foster; 10 David William Reed, 9 Kyle Macauley; 1 Jonathan James Wild, 2 Blake Wilkinson, 3 Matthew Ashcroft, 4 Karl Capstick, 5 Jamie Griffin (c), 6 Tom Steer, 7 Luke Clitheroe, 8 James Torkington.

16 Craig Whalley-Hunter, 17 Tom Fox, 18 Ilisoni Bavou, 19 Will Atkinson, 20 Sam Fisher, 21 Ryan Evans.

It’s good to see the return of Ralph Dowds who has recovered from an injury picked up in the 1st team pre-season game at Kirkby Lonsdale – good luck to him and the rest of the squad.

The Saracens have a week off in Division One. The Vandals welcome old friends Rochdale 3rds to the Woodlands (ko 15.00). They’ll be looking to climb up Division Four (North) from their current 11th place whilst Rochdale are in 7th.
