There will be guest appearance by legendary former All Blacks centre Sammy Tuitupou at Fylde’s Rugby Camp on Thursday, 15th February at the Woodlands. He’ll be taking a skills session from 11.00am and will have a Q&A session with the young (aged 5-15) participants afterwards. There are still spaces available and you can book for the day by calling 01253 734733 as soon as possible.

Sammy skippered New Zealand U’19s and U’21s before going on to a stellar senior career with Auckland and the then Super 14s champions, the Blues. He made his All Blacks debut against England in Dunedin and went to earn 9 full caps.

He left his homeland in 2007 to join Worcester Warriors in the Premiership before moving to Munster, where he picked up the nickname ‘Hacksaw Sam’, and then Sale Sharks in 2011. He made 110 appearances for the Sharks including skippering the team on occasions. He’s proved an immensely popular player with supporters and team mates alike, though not opponents(!), wherever he goes.
