May Bank Holiday – come to the Woodlands for social and rugby reasons!

By May 28, 2021Latest News

Everyone at the Club is looking forward to welcoming members, supporters and others to the Woodlands this weekend – tonight, tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday.

The health and safety of all our visitors and, indeed, staff and volunteers, comes first. Social distancing is an absolute requirement and our staff and volunteer stewards will be courteously asking everyone to follow the protocols at this stage of the pandemic.

Tonight we have the Sale Sharks v Bristol Bears live in the Clubhouse (ko 19.45).

On Saturday, the Clubhouse opens at 12.00, a BBQ will be available ahead of the first serious rugby action in 14 months when a mixed 1st XV and Hawks squad will play under the amended RFU protocols (in brief, no scrums or mauls) kicking off at 14.00. The extensive Woodlands terraces and stand as well as the area in front of the Clubhouse are able to accommodate spectators with lots of social distancing.

On Sunday we have some Mini-Junior training followed by live TV coverage of the Blackpool v Lincoln City Division Two play-off Final from Wembley (ko 15.00).

Please look after yourselves and others following the current protocols.
