In an excellent week for the Club as they sit at the top of National Two (North), both the National Clubs Association and the RFU have recognised the achievements of the 1st XV in the early part of its Centenary season. As the squad prepares for their most difficult challenge on Saturday when they visit Caldy who have a 100% record, a player and the team overall have picked up awards.
Fly-half Greg Smith has been named as N2N’s Player of the Week following his personal haul of 22 points against Chester at the Woodlands. Smith is in fine form and leads the top scorers ranking in the division, with 108 points through 4 tries, 32 conversions and 8 penalties.
The RFU have named the Club as the National Leagues One & Two Team of the Month for October. They notched four victories and scored 160 points in the process. The award is richly deserved!
