Fylde call for volunteers for its upcoming Centenary Season

By June 30, 2019Latest News, News, Volunteers

As Fylde RFC enters its Centenary Season, 2019-20, it is looking for volunteers to assist in the running and operation of the Club. Since its formation in the summer and autumn of 1919, volunteers have been at the heart of the Club and have been a huge influence on its success and strong brand name in English rugby. These men and women have contributed a huge amount of time and effort to help this community club fulfil its vision of encouraging sporting participation and success in a variety of ways in Lytham St Annes and surrounding areas.

Like many other community clubs, we couldn’t flourish without volunteering support. The RFU emphasise the importance of their contribution to clubs throughout England at https://www.englandrugby.com/my-rugby/volunteers/

We are looking for people to assist in a number of roles at the Woodlands Memorial Ground – at weekends and during the week. These encompass match day duties such as ‘gates’, car park and scoreboard functions, administrative work, looking after the club shop, and helping out to keep the grounds spick and span during the week such as being part of the ‘Friday Club’ group of volunteers. If you have any relevant skills, or none (!), and can spare some time, we would be delighted to welcome you warmly into the Fylde fold.

Contact our Volunteers Co-ordinator, Roger Westbrook, on 07796 067621, email rogerwestbrook@gmail.com or call in to see him at 145 Blackpool Road, Ansdell, Lytham St Annes.
