As many of you know, the Friends of Fylde is a group of ladies who raise funds to support our rugby club and in particular the Mini-Junior programme, which is enormously important for the Club’s future.
Of course, we don’t just aim to raise money; much of what we do is to promote the community and social side of the club. Over recent years we have noticed a direct correlation between a Friends of Fylde event and a significant increase in bar takings. We are dedicated to maintaining this trend!
In this Centenary Year we are looking forward to supporting the Centenary and General Committees in their programme of celebrations.
Forth coming events include
- A special Ladies Lunch – 28th March 2020 – a celebration to recognise the hard work the ladies committees of past years. Dress code this year is Ascot smart with hats or fascinators.
- The Centenary Ball – 1st May 2020 – celebrating the end of the season with a fabulous menu from Campbell and Rowley, music and more! Dress Code – black tie and cocktail dress
Please contact Sophie in Reception (01253 734733 or email firstname.lastname@example.org) to book tables or tickets for each of these events – which are selling fast!
Look out for news of other smaller social occasions such as a Cinema Sing a-long Evening and Pizza Making Competition, to name but two.
Thank you to each and every one of you who have bought a raffle ticket for the Fylde Match Day Raffle. A wheelbarrow full of goodies for all the family – though mainly Mum and Dad! This has been very popular over the last 5 years and remains a significant contribution to club funds.
