The Government has announced that Lancashire, including Fylde Borough, moved into Tier 3 (very high alert) from midnight Friday, 16th October.
In order to abide by the Government restrictions, the Fylde RFC Clubhouse closed on Friday evening until further notice, except for access for specific administration, maintenance and security staff.
For the assistance to Members among the list of Tier 3 means the following:-
• you must not socialise with anybody you do not live with, or have formed a support bubble with, in any indoor setting or in any private garden or at most outdoor hospitality venues and ticketed events
• you must not socialise in a group of more than 6 in an outdoor public space such as a park or beach, the countryside, a public garden or a sports venue.
• pubs and bars must close.
• exercise classes and organised sport can continue to take place outdoors.
The above is not exhaustive and for your further reference we recommend this Government website – https://www.gov.uk/guidance/local-covid-alert-levels-what-you-need-to-know
For MJ training this Sunday (18th October), the hatch will not be open.
The staff and Officers of the Club remain in a positive frame of mind. The various groups nominated to take the club forward have met, with several reports forthcoming.
We remain convinced that when the current situation is over Fylde RFC has a very bright future at all levels.
