Fylde Borough Council in conjunction with Fylde Rugby Club’s Community Department invite you to a Wellbeing Awareness Coffee Morning this Friday, 15th February, at Fylde Rugby Club. The morning begins at 10:00am and finishes at 12:00pm, it will feature over 20 different stall holders and local organisations promoting different aspects of health and wellbeing on the Fylde Coast. Entry is free and along with complimentary coffee and pastries, there are also free yoga and walking rugby sessions as well as a practical self-defence demonstration scheduled. Parking is available on site.
The coffee morning is part of an ongoing initiative between the local authority and Fylde Rugby Club to engage with the local community on health and wellness related matters. It has been organised and coordinated by Edyta Paxton, Health And Sports Coordinator for Fylde Borough Council, and Fylde’s Head of Community, Gavin Butterworth.
Gavin said “I am delighted to be working with Edyta and Fylde Borough Council on hopefully the first of many community projects together. The coffee morning is a great way to highlight the work the council does to bring people together to improve awareness of health and well-being issues, its also important for local people to engage with the rugby club and see for themselves the facilities we offer and also the work we are doing as a community department. We look forward to welcoming everyone to what should be a cracking event!”
