Hawks & Saracens at home; Vandals away

Fylde Hawks and Fylde Saracens will provide excellent entertainment at the Woodlands when they welcome Chester 2nds and Liverpool University Vets School 2nds respectively. Both kick off at 2.15pm.

The Hawks have already played Premier League leaders Chester at home this season, a none too easy defeat by 7-95. It was a marginally less of a hammering at Chester when they went down by 57-5. So they have an opportunity to improve on these defeats, despite missing a number of players.

The squad is:

15 Sam Fisher; 14 Christian Williams, 13 Fraser Stanier, 12 John Taylor, 11 Oli Brennand; 10 Kyle Macauley, 9 Jake Christmann; 1 Matthew Ashcroft, 2 Blake Wilkinson, 3 Andy Stevens, 4 Gregor Aitken (C), 5 Karl Capstick, 6 Tom Steer, 7 Toby Harrison, 8 James Torkington.

  1. Ben Gill (FR), 17 Mark Capstick, 18 Ryan Evans.

The Saracens have been in a good vein of form of late, despite their narrow defeat at Crewe & Nantwich last Saturday, and will hope to improve their Division One league position against the Vets. Their line-up is:

15 Tom Hodgkins; 14 Oggie, 13 Gavin Kelly, 12 Karl Etherington, 11 Luke Withers; 10 Iain Hollingsworth, 9 Gareth Johnson; 1 Harry Atkinson, 2 Rupert Cobain, 3 Tom Fox, 4 Adam Hiles, 5 Steven Billy James, 6 Richard Appleyard, 7 Luke Clitheroe, 8 Jamie Griffin.
16 Jimmy Lord, 17 FW Atkinson, 18 Sandy Tonge.

Fylde Vandals also have a tough challenge when they travel to Orrell 2nds.
