Hawks squad for trip to Caldy; Sarries & Vandals also in action

Fylde Hawks were involved in a rather bizarre game at Firwood Waterloo to open the season last Saturday. They were down by 34-12 in the 44th minute but then started playing properly. A final score of 34-52 was a conclusive margin and the Hawks played much more to their potential.

Saturday’s Cotton Traders Premier League fixture against Caldy 2s was scheduled to have been played at the Woodlands. However, at Caldy’s request, the game has been switched to Paton Field. The reverse fixture will now be held at the Woodlands on 23rd December.

The Hawks have a couple of players back from the 1st team’s squad that took on Cambridge last Saturday and they name a strong line-up.

15 Dexter Eaves; 14 Christian Williams, 13 Jake Foster, 12 Zack Coultas, 11 Sam Fisher; 10 Ellis Whorlton-Jones, 9 Jake Christmann; 1 Andy Stevens, 2 Ben Gregory, 3 Josh Oldland, 4 Karl Capstick, 5 Conner Scrivens, 6 Tom Steer, 7 Gregor Aitken (c), 8 James Torky Torkington.

16 Tom Fox (FR), 17 Alex Preston (FR), 18 Jack Mccutcheon, 19 Tom Benstead, 20 Luke Woodward, 21 Seb Smith.
