In the six weeks between the 17th November and Christmas Fylde’s 1st XV faces four crucial National Two (North) games at the Woodlands. This sequence kicks off a week on Saturday, the 17th November, when South Leicester visit the Woodlands for the first ever time in league competition.

A packed December then sees two traditional Roses battles on successive weekends when first Wharfedale (1st December) and then Huddersfield (8th December) are the visitors. These will be tough, hard fought encounters between old friends and rivals, both currently above Fylde in the league table.

These games provide tasty hors d’oeuvres ahead of the Fylde v Preston Grasshoppers clash on Saturday, 22nd December, the closest we are likely to get to the legendary Boxing Day games between these oldest of rivals in seasons long gone. This is a classic rugby derby and is likely to attract a very big gate and a very special atmosphere.

Whilst the pre-match hospitality in the top floor of the Woodlands Clubhouse for the ‘Hoppers game is sold out, there are places available for the splendid lunches against South Leicester, Wharfedale and Huddersfield. Prices are £25 for Members & £35 for other guests.

We need your support to make these occasions special.

Contact the Club Offices as soon as possible to book places, or even a table, for these games. Call 01253 734733 or e-mail reception@fylderugby.co.uk All 1st XV games kick off at 3pm.
