Fylde travel to Old Albanian on Saturday (ko 15.00) looking for their first league points away from the Woodlands this season. OAs are in 12th place in National One whilst Fylde remain at the bottom of the table.
OA have had a very mixed season, with some narrow defeats (Ampthill 24-28, Coventry 19-21, Bishop’s Stortford 14-18) mixed up with some fine wins (at Ionians 26-36, home to DMP 33-31 & Esher 29-14) and a couple of heavy losses – 0-58 at home to Rosslyn Park on the opening day of the season and at promotion chasing Blackheath 31-3. They are proving a very tough side to overcome and Fylde will have to raise their game if they are to come away with points.
Fylde have named a squad with two changes to the starting line-up from that which lost narrowly to Birmingham Moseley last Saturday. The back line is unchanged. In the pack, Mark Irving starts at tight head prop and Olli Parkinson is in the 2nd row. Adam Joyner is the prop replacement on the bench.
15 Tom Carleton; 14 George Brookes, 13 Chris Briers, 12 Connor Wilkinson, 11 Tom Grimes; 10 Greg Smith, 9 Alex Dolly; 1 Adam Lewis, 2 Ben Gregory, 3 Mark Irving, 4 Nick Ashcroft, 5 Olli Parkinson, 6 Harlan Corrie, 7 Ben Vernon, 8 David Fairbrother.
16 Adam Joyner, 17 Tom Burtonwood, 18 Matt Garrod, 19 Toby Harrison, 20 Luke Fowden.
