This weekend, the Hawks play Vale of Lune 2nds for the first time this season in the Halbro Sports Cotton Traders North West Premier League.

Vale of Lune where promoted last season from the Championship behind Lymm, with 20 wins from 24 games. So far this season, it’s fair to say that it’s been tough for Vale winning only one game from seven.

The Hawks in contrast, have had a strong start to the season and are certainly performing much better than last season. The Hawks are playing in a very confident manner. However, the squad will be fully aware that any team can beat any team in the league and will recall the loss to Lymm (whom where promoted as Champions from the Championship last season) in September.

Training this week will be intense and with players competing for a place in the match day squad. The Hawks will certainly be fielding a strong and attacking team.

With daylight now fading a little earlier, KO is at 14.15hrs and entrance to the game is FREE. The BAR will be OPEN.

Please get down to the Woodlands and support the Hawks and rugby. You will be entertained!
