Training wuth the Vixens
The Vixens, ever eager, have started with their pre-season training. As of the 6th August they will be training at the Woodlands on Thursdays from 6.30-8pm.
For those of you who have never picked up a rugby ball but have thought about it why not come along to the Woodlands. Join us for a taster session one Thursday and see for yourself. It truly is a game which ladies of all ages and capabilities can be a part of. Don't worry if you're thinking you'll have to come along by yourself - by the end of the evening you'll be with your team mates, a motley bunch but they will look after you! Â
Whatever your skill or playing level you will receive a warm Vixen welcome.

News from the Den
The ladies have been back at training for a couple of weeks now and its been great to see so many of them return, ready to take part in the new season's fun and games.
With a few of the student players graduating this year, it was a boost to see so many of them back at training and keeping their commitment to the Club. The team's No 12, (Rachel Bowyers) and Bond No 8, (Martine Moore), for example, both live outside the Fylde area but are keen to carrying on playing in their Vixens top. They join other ex-Uclan players - Sarah Hothersall, Alix Foster, Victoria Calder and Gemma Roberts - who have also committed to the Vixens this year,
As it is pre-season, many of the student players are still making the most of their long summer break. There are Vixens currently loose and at large all over the world but we hope to see many of them when they return to Old Blighty for their studies. Â
The 'old' girls have also been joined by a few new faces who have come along to work on their fitness and to give rugby a go, so we hope everyone will join the Vixens in welcoming them to the Woodlands, although many of you already have as they have all continued to come to training!
The Vixens would also like to extend a warm welcome to Julie Parkinson. Julie has kindly accepted to be Team Liaison for the Vixens and says she is really looking forward to getting involved with the team, especially on match days where she will take responsibility for any matters team related, allowing the girls to focus on the game. The Vixens have grown in the last two years and Julie has volunteered to help in keeping some order amidst the chaos.. Best of luck Julie :-)
Last but not least, a big warm Welcome back ED!.. a brave man, not one to walk away from a challenge. Ed has already been putting the girls through their paces working on their fitness and core skills and is looking forward to having a good mix of abilities.
