The Wanderers return to the Woodlands on Saturday to welcome Macclesfield (ko 15.00) just as the playing staff grows with the return from injury of captain Mark Briggs & Neil Wright from work commitments. However Head Coach Rich Blackburn was even more excited about the influx of University of Central Lancashire players who have followed excellent Irish prospect Paddy James.

Rich said: "Josh Purnell will start at full back but we know from his record in Leicester that he is a top grade scrum half and we are more than pleased to start Dan Scott on the wing. "Scotty" who comes from Birmingham has attracted Worcester's attention and can also play in the back row. Let's hope we can encourage them to settle long term here at Fylde".
