National School 7s - strong entry & draw announced
Another strong entry for Fylde National School 7s Tournament
Some 40 schools, 42 teams and over 500 players and teachers from all parts of England will descend on Fylde's Woodlands Memorial Ground on Saturday & Sunday, 13th & 14th March, for the 63rd National School 7s Tournament. Started in 1948, this is one of the oldest and most highly regarded dates on the school 7s calendar.
The 2009 holders of the prestigious cup, Kirkham Grammar School, will face strong competition from previous holders Ivybridge Community College (an RFU Academy) and a number of other schools and colleges having fine seasons including - Filton College (Bristol RFC Academy), Bromsgrove School, Warwick School, Whitchurch High School, Royal Grammar School Newcastle and local contenders Arnold School & King Edward VII & Queen Mary School.
First time entrants to the Tournament this year include Pocklington School (York), Queen Ethelburga's College (York), Read School (North Yorkshire) & Whitchurch High School (Cardiff).
