KGS overcome brave Kings in Woodlands' floodlit opener

KGS 31 King's Macclesfield 0.

KGS playing for the first time in two weeks started slowly against a well organised King's team. Gradually the KGS forwards got on top and with fly-half Daniel Bibby in outstanding form a score soon came from second row Matthew Spedding after some clever support play by William Stover.

KGS increased the pressure on Kings and eventually Daniel Bibby was able to show his class with an outstanding finish for the second try of the night. Full back Callum Bennett returning after injury ran some excellent lines and also put winger Neil Booysen for KGS's third try. Bennett also kicked three conversions.

King's defended very well for lond periods in the second half but eventually the pressure told as forwards Jonathon Edwards, James Hesketh and Tom Sanders made big impacts and further tries came from Wazim Riley and Kieran Brookes.

Many thanks must be sent to Fylde R.U.F.CΒ  for giving KGS the chance to play under lights on such an outstanding pitch.
