KIRKHAM GRAMMAR SCHOOL RUGBY RESULTS V BIRKENHEAD SCHOOL ON SATURDAY 6 DECEMBER 2008
Away games cancelled.
U15 XV
Won 56-10
This was a well executed victory against quite a strong team and showed the attacking prowess of KGS’s forwards and backs. The score at half-time was 41-5 with tries from Will Fleuriot, Sam Hall (2), Precious Nwaokomah, Adam Galley, Josh Rowlands, Michaelis Papangelis and conversions from Will Roper (3). With the game going to plan the reserves were given a change in the second half. Further tries from Sam Hall, Michaelis Papengelis and Tom Hirst finished off the game to leave KGS comfortable winners.
U14 XV
Won 33-5
KGS struggled to find their strength or cohesion in the first half and Birkenhead very much put the pressure on our defence. In the second half KGS managed to find headway and secure a victory, but despite the score this was a difficult fixture.
Tries:Â Ben Rhodes-Powers, Matthew Beatty, Luke Woodward and Scott Rudd.
Conversions: Matthew Beatty (4)
U13 XV
Won 43-5
KGS UI3’s produced their best display of the season running in seven tries in the process and playing with excellent continuity and belief. On a firm surface KGS kept the ball alive at every opportunity and regularly carved holes in the Birkenhead defence. The KGS forwards dominated throughout and in particular the front row of Solton, Harvey and Leach proved dominant in both the scrimmage and tight play. Adam Coates was responsible for most of the damage and he helped himself to four tries, the others were scored by Jonathan Chan, Thomas Hunter and Miles Rawlinson.
