SEDBERGH NATIONAL TENS TOURNAMENT
Kirkham Grammar School finished the season entering the National Tens at Sedbergh School, a tournament containing sixteen of the top rugby playing schools from England, Scotland and Wales.Â
On the first day KGS had wins over Old Swinford Hospital (34-12) and Dundee High School (70-0). Kieran Brookes, William Stover and Wasim Riley were in top form. Unfortunately, KGS picked up a number of injuries losing Captain Jonathan Edwards and top player Kieran Brookes and Tommy Banks.
On the second day of competition KGS entered the semi-final group stage losing 19-12 to eventual winners Millfield School, but also defeating Brighton College 22-20, after coming back from a 15 point deficit. William Stover, Tom Sanders and Wasim Riley were outstanding and were well supported by Tommy Spencer and David Ellis.
This was a terrific end to a magnificent season.
