There has been considerable confusion over the Fylde v Burnage 1st round Lancashire Cup game scheduled to take place at the Woodlands on Saturday, 25th August. Despite the Lancashire RFU sending details of the draw to Burnage (and to the seven other clubs involved) on 22nd June, the Stockport-based club appears to have no knowledge of the game and have alternative commitments which prevent them taking part.

After detailed planning for the game, and an anticipated good crowd on a Bank Holiday weekend, Fylde officials are very disappointed at this situation. The game will presumably be rescheduled at some other time. We are very sorry for inconvenience to our supporters at this postponement.
