Four teams contest North Lancs 7s at the Woodlands on Friday evening
The second and final round of the North Lancashire Super 7s will take place at the Woodlands on Friday evening, 3rd August (from 19.00).
This is a joint pilot venture between the Lancashire Development Centre and the RFU. The aim is to develop the 7s game at club level and attract teams to play in local tournaments during the summer months.
Lancashire Development Centre Manager Mark Nelson said after the 1st round: "It was a really good evening. All the teams enjoyed the event. Win or lose, they all got something out of the four matches they played. It looks like it could be a good initiative going forward and the next round at Fylde should hopefully be as successful as the Blackburn leg "
Nelson added "This is another example of Lancashire Rugby being innovative and working with the RFU to get challenging initiatives up and running within the rugby communities at local level."

The following points will be awarded towards a league. The team topping the league after all the games will be the winner.
Win 4 points, draw 2, loss 1. A bonus point will be awarded for a team scoring 4 tries in a game.
If there is a tie in the group on points the team scoring the most tries shall win,if there is still a tie the team conceding the least tries shall win. If there is still a tie the competition shall be shared.
All laws of the game shall apply, with 7s variations applicable - drop kick conversions may be taken from behind the posts.
Games will be 7 mins EW, with 1 min half-time.
Rolling subs may be used upto 7 interchanges per game these must go through the referee.
Where a team is playing consecutively 5 mins will be given before the next game. Otherwise games will follow immediately after the completion of the previous match.
