Four teams contest North Lancs 7s at the Woodlands on Friday evening
The second and final round of the North Lancashire Super 7s will take place at the Woodlands on Friday evening, 3rd August (from 19.00).
This is a joint pilot venture between the Lancashire Development Centre and the RFU. The aim is to develop the 7s game at club level and attract teams to play in local tournaments during the summer months.
Lancashire Development Centre Manager Mark Nelson said after the 1st round: "It was a really good evening. All the teams enjoyed the event. Win or lose, they all got something out of the four matches they played. It looks like it could be a good initiative going forward and the next round at Fylde should hopefully be as successful as the Blackburn leg "
Nelson added "This is another example of Lancashire Rugby being innovative and working with the RFU to get challenging initiatives up and running within the rugby communities at local level."
