The Lancashire RUFC Development Centre & The RFU are inviting Lancashire 6th Forms to enter a 12-a-side 2012 Spring Tournament. These will be held on Wednesday afternoons at the following clubs:

FYLDE RFC: Wednesday 7th March 2012
ROCHDALE RUFC: Wednesday 21st March 2012
WIDNES RUFC: Wednesday 21st March 2012
PRESTON GRASSHOPPERS RFC: Wednesday 28th March 2012

All competing teams will receive a legacy pack including rugby balls whilst coaches will receive a Kukri Hoodie.

Trophies will be awarded at each event.

A post-match meal will be provided at all four tournaments.

Lancashire Development Centre Manager Mark Nelson said: “The 16 – 18 age group is crucial to the health of the game in the county. It is very important that we offer the opportunity for young players to experience the game and attract them to our clubs when they leave college. The 12-a-side tournaments will be key components in this process. I am looking to continue the development of the players through coaching courses through the summer introducing the players to Lancashire Clubs and keeping them in the game.”
