The Fylde website attracts around 30,000 visitors a month, a superb achievement to and from a loyal and growing audience. Google Analytics tells us that this figure is made up of around 12,000 different people and attracts 28% new visitors each month. There are over 100,000 page views each month, with each visitor looking at 3.7 pages per visit.

This is both reassuring to those of us providing the service and maintaining the site and gives us new opportunities. One of the most interesting by-products of this traffic to the site is the exposure it also gives to sponsors and business partners.

For instance, The Grand Hotel in St Annes, which has a prominent banner advertisement on the site, picked up 76 referrals to their website between the 6th November and 6th December 2011. Proprietor Richard Webb said: "We're very pleased with the number coming through from the Fylde RFC website. These are 'quality clicks' and mean a lot to our business. Keep them coming!"
