Fylde Colts remain unbeaten at home with 1 game remaining!!

Fylde Senior Colts entertained Morriston Senior Colts from Swansea fresh from an unbeaten season where they secured a league and cup double.  However, they came across a very strong and resolute Fylde team who were also protecting an unbeaten home record.  Morriston had a squad of 35 players to choose from, but this did not help them as Fylde beat them comfortably, their first defeat in 2 years.

Fylde opened the scoring in the opening minutes with a fine solo effort from winger Sam Paterson, who soon scored a second mid way through the first half.  Another outstanding effort from Mike Simmons kept the scoreboard ticking over, soon followed by an excellent try from Charles Hough.  Fylde finished the scoring with Dan Palmer finishing off a fine backs move to give Fylde a 31-6 victory.

Fylde's final game of the season has the possibility of being not only their toughest, but the icing on the cake as we try to go unbeaten at home all season.  Standing in their way is Darlington Moden Park.  The game will be played as a curtain raiser to Fylde's final home game of the season where we will surely see the senior side lift the league trophy.  Coach Paul Moran Stated "it is a fitting way for us to finish the season in front of the home supporters before the 1st team s final game of the season.  Hopefully it will be a double celebration and we can cap off a fantastic end to the season for all involved in the club".
