Wanderers go out of the Cup

Fylde Wanderers went down 10-23 to Lymm 2nds in the quarter-final of the Raging Bull Cup at the Woodlands on Wednesday night. It was a gritty performance by the Wanderers but Lymm deserved their win. Wanderers were always in the hunt until the last quarter of the match. With a 5-8 deficit at the interval they were in contention and with Nick King leading from the front they posed a threat. A Lymm penalty extended their lead.

A Fylde try in the left corner on 60 minutes brought the score back to 10-11 but two further Lymm tries settled the match.

Good luck to Lymm in their semi-final against Birkenhead Park. In the other semi, Preston Grasshoppers take on Macclesfield.
