Fylde Director of Rugby Mark Nelson and his equivalent at National One's Sedgley Tigers, Tim Fourie, have arranged for a joint training session at Park Lane in Whitefield, North Manchester, on Thursday evening this week. The two squads will have a competitive, non-contact session.

Mark Nelson said: "This will be a change to our normal training routine and will be an opportunity to try out moves against an excellent N1 squad. It will get the players out of their comfort zone and help them prepare for the very important game against Harrogate on Saturday."

Three players will find the Park Lane environment familiar - hooker Alan Holmes played there before joining Fylde in 2004, Steve Nutt was there last season and most recent newcomer, Tom Albinson, spent several seasons coming up through the Tigers' ranks.
